Byford Veterinary Hospital

Byford Vet Hospital

Byford Vet is a 99% small animal, 1% large (occasional lamb, goat, piglet etc) animal practice located in the centre of Byford. The practice has fantastic exposure facing the very busy Southwest highway with passing traffic numbers averaging over 15,000 vehicles a day.

Situated at the base of the Darling Scarp, Byford is a south-eastern suburb in Perth where nature meets urban. You can have the best of both worlds: the backdrop of the picturesque hills whilst being close to other thriving hubs.

A homely atmosphere is created in a converted brick-and-mortar, tiled house. It is well set out and very functional.
It is currently an ISFM Gold Standard Feline Friendly clinic. It boasts fantastic support staff, who know there clients and their pets and treat them like family. Plus, wonderfully, well-trained, delightful clients in the local community and well beyond.

The average annual income over the last 3 Tax years was over $855,000.
From July 2022 to January 2023 the practice was run with limited hours by the owner alone, open only 4 weekdays per week, with the owner working on average 3.5 days.

A new part-time Vet started in April and a second started in August. The owner is currently working only 10-15 hours per week. Figures have significantly improved over this time with first quarter income reaching over $265,000.

There is great potential for expansion to take advantage of the underserviced clients. There is huge population growth in Byford itself. The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is known to be one of the fastest-growing communities in Australia (with a forecasted growth of 78.11% from 2022 to 2036).

Byford is well connected to Perth’s inner metro area. It’s near the Tonkin Highway, ensuring fast access to Perth Airport and major roads and is just 40 minutes from the CBD and 15 minutes from Kwinana Freeway. Planning is currently underway to extend the Armadale train line approximately 8km from Byford. METRONET are working closely with the Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale to develop several viable future transport options for the area.

This is a well-regarded, profitable small animal practice with huge untapped potential situated in a highly visible highway location.
